Welcome to Interserve Healthcare South Wales and West

We are a very friendly, caring and professional team situated in the centre of Cardiff and we are passionate about what we do. Interserve Healthcare strive for high quality care at all times and give our already experienced staff great training to guarantee the best care is always given.

It is important that we work closely with our clients, and offer meet and greets before care starts, to ensure that their care is tailor made to suit them. We also maintain regular contact to make sure you are happy with your care, and should your needs change, whether you are improving or you need more care, we can arrange to see you and make any necessary improvements.

So come down and see us, we welcome you to come by anytime for a coffee and a chat, or feel free to call us at any time.

Office Hours

General office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00am until 5:00pm

Interserve Healthcare operates a 24 hour service. Times can be arranged outside of these hours on request and an out of hours service is also available, meaning there is always someone on the end of the phone!

She is motivated to ensure they have a good life no matter what the circumstances. On receiving this award her words were "I haven't done anything to deserve this!" Mark Coles – Branch Consultant We are proud to offer our staff high quality medication training with our Branch Nurse Gareth. This is vital for all staff delivering care to our clients. Each staff member has a verification at the end of the training to ensure they have understood all of the training and have time to ask questions if unsure of anything. Medication training is one of many training sessions we offer that aids us in delivering excellent care.

Mark Coles – Branch Consultant It is a pleasure to award Jade Leigh Standing with carer of the month for January. This is due to the excellent work she does with her clients and the fact that she has become an integral part of a team with a client with significant spinal injuries. Jade is able to support this client with intense personal needs as well as social needs to ensure he is able to remain part of his community despite his debilitating needs. Jade’s communication with both the client and the branch is excellent. A big well done to Jade!

Training

We hold free training sessions for our qualified and unqualified staff and we also offer free NVQ training. We provide mandatory training in the following areas:

  • Manual Handling
  • CPR
  • Food and Hygiene
  • Fire Safety
  • Health and Safety / COSHH & RIDDOR
  • Infection Control
  • Action on Abuse

We also offer bespoke training such as Acquired Brain Injury, Epilepsy, Spinal management, Oxygen, PEG feeds and many more.

At Interserve Healthcare South Wales and West we do everything we can to ensure that our services are to the highest standards.

We require our Nurses and Health Care Assistants to have the relevant training and experience for the services they will be asked to provide. These services include:

We also offer meet and greets as standard to ensure you are happy with the person or persons who will be working with you or your loved ones.

Sara Jones

Branch Manager

Sara has worked for Interserve Healthcare since November 2014 and comes with a wealth of experience. Sara has worked in health and social care since 1991 and has worked in residential settings, community settings and domiciliary care. Sara has worked with varied clients including those with dementia, learning disabilities, mental health, physical disabilities and has worked with children and young people as well as adults. Sara has been a manager since 1998 and believes quality care is standard to work by.

Heather Lord

Client Manager - Establishments

Heather joined the team in March 2017 and her role is Client Manager - Establishments. She will be managing our Community Programmes and Establishment work in branch.

Heather has a wealth of experience in the care industry.

Corina Arfir

Care Co-ordinator

Corina has worked for Interserve Healthcare since June 2016 as a Healthcare Assistant and has worked in the office since September 2016. Corina comes with a wealth of experience and we are delighted to have her on the team.
